Arts & Crafts
From DIY Culture
Arts & crafts is a term used in Do It Yourself Culture and many other contexts to describe a number of hobbies and activities, and all such hobbies & activities have one thing in common - these hobbies & activities are to be done by one with his/ her own skills using his/ her own hands and with minimum of tools. Most of the tools used are also traditional though now-a-days, modern versions of these tools are also available. Sometimes, a distinction is made in the Arts & Crafts: the most traditional ones are called Handicrafts which people have been doing for centuries as hobbies, but mostly as economic activities; and in recent times, certain modern Arts & Crafts have come into vogue.
