Here's a list of plumbing problems we commonly see at home.
One resolution to do is to close off the water shut off valve. It will close the water supply and stop the water wastage. In that way, you can initially solve the problem until professional plumbers came.
You can remove any traps to check manually for clogs above ground when caused by local objects. For clogs due to foreign objects or in hard to reach areas, consider renting a power auger or snake. If you use a chemical drain cleaning product for cleaning clogged or slow draining pipes, make sure to read instructions carefully.
For faulty fixtures, such as faucets, toilets, drains and shower heads, take time to examine the seals. If there are any signs of deterioration, replacing them may stop the leak. Also, make sure to tighten the fixtures or clamps, replacing any worn teflon tape. If these tips do not help, consider replacing the entire unit.
Checking your plumbing system regularly and providing maintenance will lessen the chance of encountering these issues.
